Senior Regional Sales Director

RIZE Recruitment is hiring for their client, one of the world’s leading and innovative ICT companies, seeking a Senior Regional Sales Director with a strong telecom and cloud background. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record working with or alongside major tech players such as VMWare, Broadcom, Microsoft, Redhat, Windriver, Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Ericsson, or Intel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a ground-up sales strategy tailored specifically for the region, including a detailed sales plan to achieve objectives and revenue targets.

• Collaborate closely with regional pre-sales and solution engineering teams to support business growth across Europe.

• Build and maintain strategic partnerships and go-to-market (GTM) relationships to multiply GTM effectiveness.

• Maintain disciplined, transparent, and timely reporting of weekly sales activities and progress within the region.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 15 years of professional leadership experience in consultative sales of On-Premise Cloud software products and Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) at scale (including SaaS, PaaS). Experience with VMware and Redhat is a significant plus.

• At least 5 years of recent in-region experience focused on sales for Cloud, Orchestration, Virtualisation, and HCI within the telecom and service provider market.

• Established C-level relationships within global telecom operators to facilitate decision-making, commercial deal closures, and project delivery.

• Technical background with an Engineering degree; experienced in managing and growing cross-functional teams including Sales, Pre-Sales, Engineering, and Customer Success.

• Fluent in English; German or Spanish language skills are advantageous.

• Proven history of closing multiple cloud software deals in the last 5 years, playing a key role in deal closure.

• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to represent the company at industry events and forums as a leading technology brand ambassador.
