This pivotal role focuses on cutting-edge transformation and genome editing programs that aim to improve global food production and planetary health. The successful candidate will shape the scientific, strategic, and operational direction of the institute’s research, recruit and develop a high-performing team, and foster interdisciplinary collaboration with the broader EIT ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Establish and grow the institute, develop a world-class research team, and maintain a positive, engaged culture aligned with EIT Oxford values

• Collaboration & Communication: Build partnerships across EIT and external scientific/commercial stakeholders, publish research, and present at international conferences

• Research Designed for Impact: Lead and supervise cutting-edge research, manage resources, identify IP opportunities, and ensure compliance with EIT policies and legal requirements

• Strategic Planning: Drive programs with commercial potential, translating research into practical solutions for sustainable agriculture, climate, and ecosystem improvement
