Educated Appointments is recruiting on behalf of a leading UK-based training and skills provider for a National Sales Manager role. This pivotal senior position will spearhead the commercial growth strategy, manage a national sales pipeline, and drive employer engagement for apprenticeship and workforce development programs.

This provider is known for its high-quality training, social impact, and strong employer partnerships, delivering apprenticeships and technical education across sectors such as engineering, health, digital, and professional services.

The National Sales Manager will report directly to senior leadership and contribute strategically to business planning while executing hands-on commercial initiatives that ensure sustainable growth and expansion across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Strategic Leadership:

  • Design and implement a national sales strategy aligned with growth goals

  • Create sector-specific sales plans targeting large employers and priority industries

  • Collaborate with the Commercial Director and senior management on business development objectives

🔹 Business Development & Employer Engagement:

  • Build strategic, consultative relationships with major employers and stakeholders

  • Conduct full-spectrum business diagnostics to identify employer needs and propose tailored training solutions

  • Personally deliver 180 apprenticeship starts per year, contributing to a team target of 1,200

  • Identify new market opportunities to expand the organisation’s impact

🔹 Sales Management & Reporting:

  • Maintain an accurate and active sales pipeline

  • Utilise CRM tools for performance tracking, forecasting, and data-led decision making

  • Provide consistent and insightful reports to leadership on performance, risks, and growth

🔹 Collaboration & Representation:

  • Work cross-functionally with delivery, quality, finance, and operations to ensure seamless onboarding

  • Support internal collaboration for cross-selling and client satisfaction

  • Represent the organisation in employer meetings, partnerships, and industry events

Required Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and presentation skills

  • Consultative selling approach with high emotional intelligence

  • Commercially astute and strategically focused

  • Ability to manage complex pipelines and deliver measurable outcomes

  • Must have a valid UK driving license and willingness to travel

Desirable (Bonus):

  • Familiarity with UK apprenticeship systems and government-funded training

  • Understanding of workforce development and economic strategy

  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams or cross-sector projects
