Senior Software Engineer

Description:

An exciting tech-driven company in Manchester is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their growing team and play a key role in building new products to support their expansion.

As a leading Marketplace, the company has experienced increased demand and is looking for an engineer who enjoys staying hands-on while mentoring and coaching the engineering team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Engineering to introduce new ideas, develop innovative products, and ensure project delivery.

Responsibilities:

✔ Lead the design, architecture, and development of applications
✔ Drive technical decision-making to align with business goals
✔ Collaborate with the wider team to define technical requirements and develop new solutions
✔ Architect and implement RESTful APIs
✔ Develop interactive and user-friendly frontend interfaces using React.js
✔ Mentor and coach team members through code reviews
✔ Ensure TDD practices are followed and implement unit tests
