Senior Software Engineer

Description:

Techmunity are hiring 6 senior and staff-level software engineers for a YC-backed, Series A AI startup scaling rapidly across London, NYC and beyond.

They build AI-powered software that automates complex, document-heavy workflows for financial services and insurance.

Their platform processes tens of thousands of documents daily and over 20 million bank transactions per day, and is embedded in mission-critical operations for 150+ customers.

This is a hands-on IC role with real ownership. You’ll design, build and operate backend services, influence system architecture as the company scales, work closely with product and customers, and help raise the technical bar across the team.

There is some frontend work where it meaningfully improves customer experience, but the role is backend-leaning.

They’re looking for experienced engineers who enjoy ambiguous, high-impact problems, take end-to-end responsibility, and value pragmatic shipping over ceremony. Strong candidates have typically built and owned significant parts of production systems at startups or scale-ups.

The stack includes Python (Flask / FastAPI), GCP and AWS, Terraform, and React / TypeScript.

London-based, in-person multiple days per week.
