Confused.com has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineer to join our Software Engineering team. We're a tech- driven business that focuses on agile delivery and cross functional product teams. We are creating the next generation of comparison platforms, and as we scale we are looking for passionate, empathetic engineers to build highly performant, accessible, and beautiful consumer experiences to facilitate switching and comparisons on the web. This engineering role will support improvement in our product development flow across the whole of Confused.com.
Requirements
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Experience writing code and systems design.
- Experience in automation.
- Exposure to our Tech Stack - .Net, C#, Azure, Javascript, React, MVC, Playwright
- Willingness to learn and passion to keep yourself at the forefront of technology delivery.
- Day to day you would be working directly with stakeholders in commercial, marketing, finance, product, web and compliance. Working with them and the product owner to achieve the desired outcomes in a pragmatic fashion. Shipping code. Making your work visible in tools like Trello. Participating in team planning and continual improvement

- Ensuring the availability, performance, quality, scalability and security of systems and data resources.
- Care about abstractions, API design and data strategy - without our data we wouldn’t have a business

- Pragmatic solutions to business problems that start at requirements gathering and end in delivering value
- Working with both peers and other teams to design, build, test, deploy, automate, maintain, support and operate cloud-based solutions and infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting and resolving incidents and problems, and performing changes.
- Have had experience or want to have experience working in diverse, cross functional agile teams - we value people that want to push themselves into unknown territories
