Description:
Harnham is hiring a Senior Strategy Analysis Manager for a prominent UK rail operator. This critical leadership position places you at the heart of the commercial strategy team, where you'll be responsible for driving revenue insights, data-informed decision-making, and strategic commercial planning across the organization. You'll work closely with senior leadership and external stakeholders such as the Department for Transport.
As the Senior Strategy Analysis Manager, you will lead a team of three analysts in conducting deep analysis on passenger demand, customer behavior, pricing models, revenue trends, and protection strategies. Your insights will directly influence strategic partnerships, forecasts, and the overall commercial direction of the business.
You will also spearhead the development of business plans, revenue reporting systems, and the commercial analytics roadmap, ensuring all outputs align with long-term strategic goals. This is a hybrid role based in Central London with a requirement to be on-site three days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop a team of analysts focused on passenger trends and pricing
Deliver detailed insights on forecasts, models, and revenue management effectiveness
Drive the creation of annual business plans and monthly commercial reports
Collaborate with the Revenue Management team and contribute to high-impact decisions
Own and implement the long-term commercial data strategy
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Strong background in commercial strategy and revenue analytics
Prior rail industry experience (preferred, not required)
Technical skills in SQL, PowerBI, Tableau
Leadership skills with team management experience
Strong communication and presentation abilities
Interview Process:
Stage 1: 45-minute screening interview with senior leadership
Stage 2: Practical task – present findings of price sensitivity research in a 6-slide presentation to a mock board
