Description:

Creative Support, a leading non-profit social care organization, is seeking a Senior Support Worker to join their supported living and outreach services in Telford, Shropshire. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced carer looking to step into a leadership role and make a positive impact on the lives of adults with learning disabilities and mental health challenges.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital part in delivering compassionate, person-centred care, ensuring that service users lead fulfilling and meaningful lives. You will also help guide and supervise a team of dedicated support workers to maintain high standards of care and compliance with CQC regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide respectful personal care and practical support tailored to individual needs.

  • Offer emotional support and encouragement to promote wellbeing and confidence.

  • Work closely with service users, their families, and multi-disciplinary teams to maximise outcomes and independence.

  • Implement Creative Support’s policies, procedures, and values to maintain quality care and regulatory compliance.

  • Supervise, mentor, and support staff, ensuring that care is consistent, safe, and person-centred.

  • Support service users to achieve their goals, participate in community life, and maintain a happy, safe, and balanced lifestyle.

  • Manage administrative and reporting duties as required, ensuring compliance with CQC standards.

  • Maintain accurate records, care plans, and progress notes.

  • Flexibly work evenings, weekends, and on a rota basis to meet service demands.


Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a support worker or care role is essential.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with a supportive and motivating approach.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • A clean driving licence and access to a vehicle are desirable but not required.

  • A compassionate, professional, and proactive attitude.

  • Must be eligible to work in the UK (visa sponsorship not available).
