Senior System Engineer

Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior System Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain enterprise infrastructure with a strong focus on both on-premises Microsoft technologies and cloud-based solutions. You will play a pivotal role in driving our clients' digital transformation journeys and cloud migration initiatives, working across our Cloudification, Cybersecurity, and Modern Workplace service lines.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering

You will design, implement, maintain, and optimise enterprise Windows Server environments and hybrid cloud infrastructures. As a core part of our Cloudification services, you will architect, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure (IaaS and PaaS), ensuring scalability, security, and cost-efficiency. You will administer Microsoft Hyper-V environments, manage Windows Failover Clustering for high availability and business continuity, and configure Storage Area Networks (SANs) alongside cloud-based storage solutions. You will lead and support cloud migrations and modernisation initiatives, moving workloads from on-premises to Azure or other public cloud platforms to optimise performance and reliability.

Identity & Modern Workplace

You will manage and support Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), overseeing hybrid identity integrations between on-premises AD and Entra ID. You will administer Office 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams, while utilising Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot for endpoint configuration, compliance, and automated device provisioning. You will administer Microsoft 365 tenant services and licensing, and support our clients' remote and hybrid workforces with secure, seamless access management.

Networking, Automation & Security

Aligned with our Cybersecurity and optimisation goals, you will configure, maintain, and troubleshoot core network services including DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy, as well as Azure networking components such as VNet, ExpressRoute, and VPN Gateways. You will develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and utilise Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM/Bicep templates to automate administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency. You will develop and maintain endpoint security and cloud security posture policies, and monitor cross-platform service health, performance, and availability using tools such as Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
