Senior Transport Planner

Description:

Pegasus Group is recruiting enthusiastic and passionate Senior Transport Planners to join their successful team in Bristol. As a Senior Transport Planner, you will play a key role in supporting all aspects of development planning throughout the development cycle. This includes site selection, planning, design, and implementation, while focusing on sustainable and successful developments.

You will work on various complex transport planning projects, preparing strategies, assessments, and plans such as Access Strategies, Transport Assessments/Statements, Travel Plans, Parking Strategies, and more. The role involves liaising with local highway authorities and project teams, using junction modelling software (Junctions 10, Arcady, Picady, LinSig), and contributing to S106 negotiations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare Access Strategies, Transport Assessments/Statements, Travel Plans, Construction Traffic Management Plans, and more.

• Undertake junction modelling using Junctions 10 and other software.

• Collaborate with clients, local authorities, project teams, and community members.

• Contribute to S106 negotiations and other planning processes.

• Support the development of sustainable and successful transport planning solutions.

Skills and Requirements:

• Degree in a related subject (Master’s in Transport is desirable).

• Knowledge of policy and guidance such as NPPF, DMRB, Manual for Streets, and LTN 1/20.

• Experience using the TRICS database.

• Familiarity with junction modelling software, including Junctions 10.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
