Senior Transport Planners

Pegasus Group have exciting opportunities for Transport Planners and Senior Transport Planners to join our successful Transport teams at our offices in Bristol City Centre and Bristol North.

What Are We Looking For.

We are seeking enthusiastic, passionate individuals to join our expanding team and be involved in supporting all aspects of development planning project work through the whole development cycle from site selection/due diligence and appraisal, through planning, design and implementation.

This will include preparing Access Strategies, Transport Assessments/Statements, Travel Plans, Construction Traffic Management Plans, Parking Strategies, Sustainable transport / Active Travel assessments, and inputs to Environmental Impact Assessment. You will be required to undertake junction modelling (Junctions 11 (Arcady, Picady) and LinSig), input to S106 negotiations, liaise with local highway authorities and much more.

You will work on a number of exciting, complex transport planning projects, with the support of our Directors and Transport team, and gain valuable experience and exposure across a range of sectors and a variety of clients on all scales/types of projects.

Your areas of knowledge and expertise:
 

• A degree in a related subject (a master’s degree in transport planning would be desirable)
• Policy and guidance such as NPPF, DMRB, Manual for Streets, LTN 1/20 etc;
• Preparation of documents to support planning applications including Transport Statements / Assessments and Travel Plans.
• Use of the TRICS database;
• Setting up and running of junction modelling software, including Junctions 11; and
• Collaboration with clients, project teams, highways officers and community members are at the core of our approach and candidates should have good written and verbal communication skills.
