The Senior UI Designer is responsible for:
Leading our digital design experiences, making sure they’re exciting, creative, intuitive experiences that drive user engagement and value and enable members to get the most out of our membership and app. They’ll bring product visions to life and drive our big goals forward!
Principles accountabilities…
As a Senior UI Designer you will:
- Use design and experiences to empower members to drive their fitness forward and be on top of their health goals.
- Have a detailed knowledge of multi-channel, integrated digital experience and understand the impact of strong design within those experiences.
- Collaborate closely with UX and use your design research to shape the direction of products. Use the insights to design user centred experiences that meet the needs of our users.
- Play an essential role in discovery activities with Product Managers and other stakeholders, taking early insights from the workshops to proactively think about where we can take the product.
- Work closely with Brand and Marketing to ensure our designs represent and deliver our identity, values and purpose
- Develop and maintain our design system, making sure it evolves at the right times and keep all stakeholders up to date.
- Use your excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively present and articulate design concepts and decisions to stakeholders.
- Develop high fidelity mock-ups and prototypes and coherently be able to hand over the designs to developers.
- Continuously undertake evaluation of our current end-to-end experiences to identify areas of improvement and optimisation.
- Challenge and evolve our design processes, ensuring we are making use of the best tools and practices.
Let us tell you what we are looking for..
We’re looking for someone who is clearly able to demonstrate:
- At least 4 years’ experience in UI design
- Great knowledge of key UI design principles and best practices.
- A passion for design processes, techniques, and methodologies.
- Expertise in visual design and accessibility.
- Ample experience of designing and implementing high-quality designs for mobile and desktop.
- Evidence of mobile app design and knowledge of native environments (iOS/Android).
- Ability to use various design tools such as Sketch, Marvel, Zeplin, Photoshop, Principle (or equivalent).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced delivery environment.
- Comfort working both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- A positive attitude that is undeterred by challenging feedback or the occasional need to send things back to the drawing board.
- High bar for quality, and you know what great work looks like.
- Self-motivated, charismatic, energetic, a great team player.
- Strong bias for action and highly resourceful.
