Senior Vice President Of Engineering

Ideagen, a global leader in safety-critical software solutions, is seeking a Senior Vice President of Engineering to drive its global product engineering strategy. Based in Ruddington, Nottinghamshire, this high-impact leadership role will report directly to the Chief Product and Technology Officer and provide end-to-end ownership over product engineering, architecture, and delivery across a diverse, global team.

As SVP of Engineering, you will lead the transformation and scaling of Ideagen’s engineering capabilities while championing innovation, quality, and speed to market. You will foster a culture of excellence across multiple functions such as software development, architecture, cloud operations, and production support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and inspire a large, distributed global engineering team, cultivating a collaborative and innovative environment

• Define and execute the technical strategy and architecture roadmap, ensuring scalable and reliable product delivery

• Build and retain top-tier engineering talent while reinforcing a culture of inclusion, diversity, and continuous growth

• Partner with Product and UX teams to align technical capabilities with business goals

• Drive process optimization using Agile and Lean methodologies to accelerate value delivery

• Oversee adoption of emerging technologies and best practices across engineering functions

• Maintain operational transparency through KPIs, reporting metrics, and communication across stakeholders

• Provide thought leadership in engineering excellence and modern software practices

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven leadership in large-scale software product development

• Demonstrated success in managing engineering teams of 500+ across global locations

• Deep understanding of architecture, development, operations, and support within software organizations

• Excellent communication and inspirational leadership skills

• Strong track record of building inclusive, high-performance engineering cultures

• Experience with Agile, Lean, and modern DevOps practices
