We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Serious Injury Solicitor to join one of the country leading specialist serious and catastrophic injury solicitors. The successful candidate will manage a caseload of serious injury claims, providing expert legal advice and representation to clients who have sustained severe injuries. This role demands a high level of empathy, professionalism, and legal acumen to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Case Management:
- Handle a varied caseload of serious injury claims including, but not limited to, catastrophic injuries, brain injuries, spinal injuries, and amputations.
- Conduct thorough investigations, gathering and analysing evidence to build strong cases.
- Client Liaison:
- Provide compassionate and clear legal advice to clients, keeping them informed of case progress and next steps.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring clients feel supported throughout the legal process.
- Legal Documentation:
- Draft, review, and submit all necessary legal documents including pleadings, witness statements, and expert reports.
- Ensure all documentation complies with relevant legal standards and regulations.
- Negotiation and Settlement:
- Negotiate settlements with opposing parties, aiming to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
- Prepare and represent clients in mediation and settlement discussions.
- Court Representation:
- Represent clients in court, preparing and presenting cases effectively.
- Liaise with barristers and other legal professionals as required.
- Compliance and Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with changes in personal injury law and relevant case law.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and firm policies.
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with a current practicing certificate.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in serious injury and catastrophic injury claims.
- Proven track record of managing high-value, complex personal injury cases.
- Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise advice.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Proficiency in legal research and use of case management systems.
