Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Serious Injury Solicitor to join one of the country leading specialist serious and catastrophic injury solicitors. The successful candidate will manage a caseload of serious injury claims, providing expert legal advice and representation to clients who have sustained severe injuries. This role demands a high level of empathy, professionalism, and legal acumen to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Case Management:
    • Handle a varied caseload of serious injury claims including, but not limited to, catastrophic injuries, brain injuries, spinal injuries, and amputations.
    • Conduct thorough investigations, gathering and analysing evidence to build strong cases.
  • Client Liaison:
    • Provide compassionate and clear legal advice to clients, keeping them informed of case progress and next steps.
    • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring clients feel supported throughout the legal process.
  • Legal Documentation:
    • Draft, review, and submit all necessary legal documents including pleadings, witness statements, and expert reports.
    • Ensure all documentation complies with relevant legal standards and regulations.
  • Negotiation and Settlement:
    • Negotiate settlements with opposing parties, aiming to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
    • Prepare and represent clients in mediation and settlement discussions.
  • Court Representation:
    • Represent clients in court, preparing and presenting cases effectively.
    • Liaise with barristers and other legal professionals as required.
  • Compliance and Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay updated with changes in personal injury law and relevant case law.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and firm policies.

Requirements
 

  • Qualified Solicitor with a current practicing certificate.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in serious injury and catastrophic injury claims.
  • Proven track record of managing high-value, complex personal injury cases.
  • Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise advice.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in legal research and use of case management systems.
