Service Engineer

Description:

Liebherr-Great Britain Ltd., part of the global Liebherr Group, is seeking a Service Engineer for their Offshore Cranes within the Maritime Crane department. The role involves carrying out maintenance, inspection, and repair work on Offshore and Ship crane products, either at customer premises, on site, or at the appropriate depot. The position ensures that quality standards and timelines are optimized, promoting customer confidence and repeat business, while delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform servicing, inspection, and repair of Offshore and Ship crane equipment.

• Diagnose and repair electrical and hydraulic faults.

• Service and repair diesel engines, including ECU software uploads/downloads.

• Work at heights and assist in building and dismantling cranes.

• Manage own time to meet company expectations and deadlines.

• Collaborate with Technical support for guidance and training.

• Ensure warranty and other return parts are cleaned, packed, labelled, and returned on time.

• Maintain proper documentation of all service information.

• Develop effective working relationships with depot support teams and customers.

• Maintain a safe and healthy working environment in line with workplace safety requirements.

• Ensure high-quality work standards and leave work sites clean and orderly.

• Maintain personal image and vehicle cleanliness to an exceptional standard.

• Seek opportunities to develop skills and apply new knowledge in the field.

Experience & Skills Required:

• NVQ Level 3 apprenticeship or equivalent in a related industry.

• Slinger & CSCS cards.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills at all levels.

• Flexible approach to work.

• Knowledge and experience in electrical, hydraulic, and diesel engine systems preferred.
