Description:

O’Reilly Auto Parts, a trusted leader in automotive retail and distribution, is looking for a Retail Service Specialist to join its team in Mesa, AZ. This position plays a vital role in supporting the Store Manager and Assistant Managers across key areas including sales, customer service, store operations, and overall store appearance. The Retail Service Specialist will also assume shift management responsibilities in the absence of the Store or Assistant Manager, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate store team members to provide outstanding customer service to both retail and professional customers.

  • Oversee customer service execution on the showroom floor, ensuring adherence to company programs such as Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, and Rock the Lot.

  • Ensure telephones are answered according to company standards.

  • Manage special orders, outside purchases, buy-online/ship-to-store orders, and store transfers efficiently, ensuring timely customer notifications.

  • Handle customer returns and exchanges in a professional, efficient, and accurate manner.

  • Ensure all merchandise, including warranty and core charges, is invoiced before leaving the store.

  • Delegate and oversee merchandising, Image Maker tasks, and Zipline communication compliance.

  • Monitor team member scheduling and compliance with company timekeeping and attendance policies.

  • Perform store opening and closing duties, including security, deposits, and end-of-day procedures.

  • Secure company property, including vehicles and equipment, at the end of each business day.

  • Perform other assigned duties, including general store operations and customer assistance.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Required:

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to obtain Retail Service Specialist (RSS) Certification.

  • Desired:

    • Previous retail sales experience, preferably in automotive parts.

    • Knowledge of automotive systems and repair.

    • ASE Certification.

    • Fluency in multiple languages, with Spanish highly desired.
