Shunter Driver

Description:

The role requires the job holder to undertake responsibilities without direct supervision and demands the use of own initiative, to ensure that trailers are available as and when required. All decisions regarding trailers are the responsibility of the post holder, with any trailer defects or shortages being relayed to their line manager.

The ability to understand and follow instruction is essential. The post holder is required to go through on-site training and ideally have previous experience in Transport / Distribution.

The post holder will also be expected to carry out duties and other reasonable instructions as requested.

What do you need to qualify for the Shunter Driver:

• A current clean Class 1 Driving (LGV C+E) Licence is essential and previous experience of undertaking shunting work would be highly desirable.

Shift Pattern:

Two-week shift rotation - 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm.
