- Represent the SSEN Transmission business on-site, being the key point of contact for the project, interacting proactively with the appointed contractor(s) and other relevant stakeholders to ensure the works are delivered to the project programme, with appropriate resource levels and in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
- Develop effective positive relationships with contractors, suppliers and the community, acting as a leader on site and champion for an effective and collaborative safety culture.
You have
- Strong engineering and construction knowledge including safety and the application of CDM 2015 Regulations.
- Suitable qualifications in engineering or construction management and have experience of site management of similarly complex works in construction / utilities / electrical installation.
- Experience of working with NEC contracts or equivalent, including previous experience managing defects, quality monitoring through inspection and test plans.
- Good written and oral communication skills, including the capability of representing the project internally and externally where required. Strong IT skills with the ability to use common software such as Microsoft Office packages.
- Effective leadership in challenging environments and ability to cope with conflicting demands. A good understanding of project planning and tracking progress against agreed plans. The ability to maintain comprehensive project documentation including progress reports and site diaries.
