Description:
Blackfox Solutions are working with a dynamic construction company based in Enniskillen, seeking a skilled Site Engineer to manage on-site aspects of road surfacing projects. This role involves ensuring all works are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently to a high standard. The successful candidate will work closely with the Contracts Manager and Supervisors to coordinate works, monitor progress, and maintain quality control.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, supervise, and coordinate on-site activities, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety standards.
- Manage staff and resources to optimize project performance.
- Devise and implement traffic management plans.
- Monitor daily progress and provide reports aligned with the works schedule.
- Measure works on-site to assist with pricing and tender preparation.
- Provide technical support, identifying and addressing any issues during the project.
- Ensure adherence to Safety Management Systems, including Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
- Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and site audits to promote safety.
- Liaise with clients and statutory bodies to ensure smooth project delivery.
Requirements
- Third Level Qualification in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience as a Site Engineer in the civil engineering sector.
- Experience in the road surfacing industry is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of construction methods and techniques, with a focus on groundworks.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Valid UK Driving License required.
