Description:
We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support groundworks, RC frame, and structural construction works on live UK construction sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting out, quality assurance, site coordination, and technical support to project and site management teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out for groundworks, drainage, services, piles, pile caps, RC frames, columns, beams, slabs, and box-outs using total station equipment
- Checking drawings, specifications, and quantities for accuracy and latest revisions
- Transferring grid lines and datums for subcontractors and site teams
- Conducting pre-pour and post-pour inspections, including reinforcement and formwork checks
- Preparing survey reports, QA documentation, and as-built drawings for handover
- Supervising construction activities to ensure works are delivered safely and in accordance with design and programme
- Assisting the Project Manager with planning, sequencing, and coordination of site activities
- Ensuring compliance with UK Health & Safety regulations, including toolbox talks and site inductions
- Liaising with subcontractors, engineers, and management to resolve technical and site issues
- Monitoring progress and reporting on site performance
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience working on construction sites in the UK
- Proficient in setting out and surveying using Leica Total Stations
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Solid understanding of UK health & safety standards
- AutoCAD knowledge
- Proficient English (spoken and written)
- Valid CSCS card
- Right to work in the UK
