This is a unique opportunity to join a market-leading food manufacturer as a Site Engineering Lead for their key site in the West Midlands. Reporting as part of the senior leadership team, the role focuses on delivering exceptional performance in engineering reliability, team development, succession planning, and compliance, while also driving a long-term strategy for the engineering function.

You will lead an established engineering team, oversee budgetary control, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards, all while fostering a strong workplace culture. This position provides full autonomy, allowing you to make a lasting impact on the engineering function and contribute to future projects and innovations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the engineering team to deliver operational excellence.
• Develop and implement long-term strategies to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Oversee budgetary control and ensure adherence to financial targets.
• Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Deliver strategic projects aligned with business objectives.
• Inspire, develop, and mentor the engineering team for long-term success.
• Drive succession planning and develop future leaders within the team.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds a degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience managing engineering teams in food manufacturing.
• Strong background in budgetary management and strategic planning.
• Knowledge of Continuous Improvement (C.I.) and Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Demonstrates excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to perform under pressure and deliver measurable results.
