Description:
Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking experienced Social Workers to join their adult safeguarding team. The team emphasizes ‘making safeguarding personal’ and delivering proportionate responses to concerns raised about adults at risk. Social Workers will work with adults aged 18+ across all areas, specializing in safeguarding duties under Section 42 of the Care Act 2014.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage adult safeguarding enquiries remotely and via phone or Microsoft Teams
Collaborate with multi-agency teams, partner agencies, and community teams
Analyze complex referrals and work with internal and external partners
Apply knowledge of Nottinghamshire’s Adult Care Strategy and relevant legislation
Maintain evidence of continued professional development
Qualifications & Skills:
Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England
Completed Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE)
Strong knowledge of safeguarding adults and ‘making safeguarding personal’
Effective communication, organizational, and IT skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with colleagues and partners
