Software Engineer

Description:

Harrington Starr is recruiting on behalf of a prominent London-based Investment Bank, seeking a talented and driven Full Stack Software Engineer at either Associate or VP level. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, agile environment where technology directly supports both trading and business operations.

As a Full Stack Developer, you will play a vital role in enhancing and maintaining a suite of internal systems while integrating with critical market data APIs. This role offers front-to-back office exposure and close collaboration with stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions using C#, SQL Server, and React

• Integrate real-time and historical market data from third-party APIs such as Bloomberg, Fidessa, and FactSet

• Participate in agile sprints, ensuring timely and secure delivery of solutions

• Collaborate closely with business and technical teams to ensure compliance with regulatory and cybersecurity standards

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a financial services or trading environment

• Strong command of C#, SQL, and front-end development (React preferred)

• Experience with financial APIs and platforms (e.g. Bloomberg, Fidessa, FactSet)

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Must have full UK work rights (No visa sponsorship offered)
