Description:
Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a Software Developer to join a dynamic project team responsible for developing a Management System for a new satellite development program. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical software solutions within an agile development environment and play a key role in shaping the future of aerospace technology.
The successful candidate will participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment, with a strong focus on microservices architecture and automated testing. Develop high-quality code in an agile (Scrum) environment adhering to defined quality standards and project processes.
Perform unit testing and deliver implementations meeting acceptance criteria.
Contribute to all Scrum activities including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Refinement, Retrospectives, and Closeouts.
Collaborate with the Test Team to ensure quality delivery and integration.
Participate in system design using UML/SysML and leverage Java technologies for implementation.
Support CI/CD delivery processes and ensure smooth deployment of microservices.
Proficiency in Java Core (version 8+).
Strong experience with Spring Boot 2.x.x, JPA, and Hibernate.
Proven experience in microservice architecture and RESTful APIs.
Familiarity with distributed systems and MVC design patterns.
Experience in agile development environments with CI/CD techniques.
Source code management (GIT) and issue tracking (Jira).
UML/SysML experience with tools like Enterprise Architect.
Ability to gain UK SC Security Clearance (mandatory).
