Software Engineer

Description:

Planet DDS, a leading provider of cloud-based dental practice solutions, is seeking a Software Engineer II to build and enhance SaaS and mobile products for dental offices and groups. The role requires a self-motivated engineer who can work in a fast-paced environment, communicate clearly, and deliver high-quality code.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write high-quality, reusable, scalable, and testable code following best practices.

• Participate in code and design reviews, task estimation, and feature development.

• Contribute to improving product performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Adopt AI-powered software engineering tools to enhance productivity.

• Stay updated with advancements in AI and software development.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements / Qualifications:

• 2–4 years’ experience in software engineering/development.

• Experience in at least two of: C#, .NET Core, MVC/AngularJS, React.

• Strong understanding of OOP and design patterns.

• Experience with SQL Server, Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.

• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

• Familiarity with AI-powered coding tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude) is a plus.

• Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
