Software Engineer II

Description:

Our current tech stack consists mainly of PHP, MySQL, GraphQL, Redis, TypeScript, Vue, Nuxt, GraphQL and TailwindCSS. To ensure the quality of our codebases, we use code quality tools such as PHPStan, PHPCS, and ESLint, and we use the latest standards such as PHP8.3 and ES2023. We are also extensive users of Docker and Kubernetes.

What we need from you

• At least 3 years of relevant development experience within a web environment

• Extensive knowledge of PHP, MySQL, Javascript and CSS

• Experience with a modern PHP framework (such as Laravel or Symfony) and a modern JavaScript framework (such as Vue or React)

• Acquainted with command line and DevOps processes

• Demonstrated understanding of Agile software development lifecycles

• Inquisitive and up to date with technologies and industry trends

• Previous experience with isomorphic applications and AWS is a bonus

What you’ll be doing

• Building new product experiences that our users will find simple and delightful to use

• Iterate upon and improve existing functionality and features of our website, app and browser extensions

• Delivering high-quality, well-structured code with excellent test coverage

• Using the latest tools and techniques to monitor and improve application performance

• Contributing to the architecture of our platforms, updating and expanding our technology stack

• Directly contributing to enhancing our developer experience

• Using your skills and expertise to support other engineers
