Solar O&m Technician

Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on problem solver with a passion for renewable energy. My client, a Pan-European Independent Power Producer (IPP), is looking for a proactive and dependable Solar Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Technician to join their growing team. The company operates a 300MW portfolio and a development portfolio of over 3GW.

As this is a field-based role, you will be required to travel and work on various projects Monday to Friday, wherever solar installations are located.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out scheduled maintenance and reactive repairs on solar power systems

• Diagnose and fix electrical faults to minimize downtime and keep energy flowing smoothly

• Keep clear and accurate records of work performed and report on site performance and issues

• Support new system commissioning and ensure operational safety throughout

• Inspect equipment and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and reliability

Key Skills:

• Hands-on experience with solar PV systems—installation, commissioning, and upkeep

• Strong understanding of electrical systems and safety standards

• Familiarity with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

• A full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel
