Description:
Currys is seeking a Solution Architect to lead the technology roadmap for iD Mobile. This role involves evaluating business needs, collaborating with external partners, and implementing innovative technology solutions for our telecommunications and eCommerce platforms. The Solution Architect will drive strategic planning, product development, and system optimization to ensure seamless operations and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead solution architecture and align technology roadmaps with iD Mobile’s business plans.
- Work with external partners to ensure product roadmap alignment.
- Collaborate with technical leads, analysts, and project managers on IT projects.
- Support strategic planning and advise business/technology partners on enterprise solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, working with the Service Improvement Manager.
- Provide expertise on emerging technologies and industry best practices in IT and telecom.
- Engage with procurement for sourcing new technologies.
- Ensure compliance with IT standards, policies, and architectural plans.
- Sign-off on solution designs from internal and external partners.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect in an eCommerce environment.
- Strong understanding of API-first development and Azure cloud hosting.
- Exposure to MuleSoft or similar integration platforms.
- Knowledge of legacy integration methods and complex IT environments.
- Experience with firewalls, WAF, load balancers, and cloud/on-premise infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with Online Charging Solutions (OCS) in telecom.
- Full SDLC experience in both Agile & Waterfall environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
