Description:

PA Consulting is seeking a skilled and innovative Solution Architect to join its Digital & Data community in London. This hybrid role offers the chance to collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams of product managers, designers, engineers, and consultants to deliver cutting-edge software solutions that address complex business and technological challenges.

As a Solution Architect at PA Consulting, you will play a critical role in shaping digital transformation initiatives, ensuring high-quality architecture artefacts, guiding engineering teams, and working closely with senior leaders to define solutions that bring lasting impact for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and assure architectural deliverables, including Key Design Decisions, Technical Options Papers, and High-Level Designs.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams, often taking a lead SME role to define vision, set architectural guardrails, and ensure alignment.

  • Support senior stakeholders in shaping business cases, cost estimations, and detailed implementation plans.

  • Work within agile environments, applying best practices across SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies.

  • Provide thought leadership across multiple sectors (defence, security, energy, health, transport, financial services, government, etc.).

  • Contribute to internal projects, knowledge-sharing, and mentoring to strengthen the organisation’s technology community.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Strong background in software engineering with leadership experience in delivering applications and services.

  • Expertise across architectural domains, with depth in at least one (Business, Data, Application, Technology, Security).

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Practical knowledge of architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, MODAF) and modelling tools (UML, ArchiMate, Ardoq).

  • Cloud expertise across platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP; familiarity with Oracle, IBM, Salesforce is advantageous.

  • Certifications in relevant methodologies or cloud technologies are a plus.

Assessment Process:

  1. Introductory video call with a Tech Recruiter.

  2. First interview: competency or technical (60 mins).

  3. Second interview: complementary competency/technical (60 mins).

  4. Final round: discussion with a PA leader focusing on client-centricity.
