Linnaeus is seeking a highly skilled Specialist in Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) to join the ECC team at DWR, one of Europe’s largest specialist multi-disciplinary veterinary referral centres. The successful candidate will work in a state-of-the-art Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Room within the newly opened hospital extension (2023), contributing to exceptional clinical care and education.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialist-level care within the Emergency and Critical Care department.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including board-certified criticalists, ECC interns and residents, and ECC nurses.

• Participate in educational rounds, hospital-wide seminars, ECC board reviews, and Journal Club sessions.

• Contribute to undergraduate training in partnership with the University of Nottingham.

• Work with a diverse caseload spanning multiple veterinary disciplines, including anaesthesia, cardiology, dermatology, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopaedic surgery, and soft tissue surgery.

Requirements

• ACVECC or ECVECC Board-Certified.

• Experienced candidates eligible for qualifying examinations for ACVECC or ECVECC will also be considered.

• Strong clinical expertise and ability to work in a high-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
