Description:
As a Specialist Oncology Occupational Therapist (OT), you will deliver expert, personalised support to Perci members across the cancer pathway as part of the UK’s largest virtual cancer clinic.
This freelance role is ideal for an experienced oncology OT who is looking to expand their practice within a digital, collaborative and multidisciplinary environment. You will work autonomously while being fully supported by Perci’s clinical governance structures, digital platform, and customer support team.
The role requires clinical confidence, adaptability, and comfort delivering care remotely, while maintaining the highest standards of evidence-based oncology rehabilitation.
You will:
- Work as part of a national, multidisciplinary team of cancer specialists across the UK
- Deliver specialist oncology occupational therapy interventions across the cancer pathway, including treatment, rehabilitation, and long-term recovery
- Support members with fatigue, cognitive changes, functional decline, vocational challenges, and participation in meaningful activities
- Manage your own clinical availability with the Perci platform
- Deliver care through video consultations and other remote support methods
- Have access to tech support, onboarding, training and professional community activities
- Contribute to the wider Perci community through reflective practice, service development, content creation, or professional collaboration (desirable)
Person specification
Essential
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in Occupational Therapy
- UK professional registration
- Minimum of three years post-qualification experience with direct oncology clinical practice, which you can evidence
- Experience working across varied acute and cancer care settings
- Experience delivering care remotely, including video or digital platforms
- Competent using information technology and confident working across different digital systems
- Valid DBS and medical indemnity insurance suitable for freelance practice
Desirable
- Experience supporting vocational rehabilitation or return-to-work planning
- Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary oncology team in a virtual or hybrid setting
