Fixed term for 11 months

Due to an upcoming secondment, we are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to join our established and supportive Acute Adult SLT Team based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

The successful post-holder will join our Band 5/6 rotation, working with adults who present with a range of acquired speech, language, communication, and eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties. The role offers exposure to a broad range of acute specialties and involves working flexibly across teams within the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary Speech and Language Therapy service.

You will bring a strong foundation of clinical knowledge and experience in adult acute care, alongside a commitment to high-quality, patient-centred practice. You will work within a small, friendly team and be supported by a Clinical Lead SLT, with excellent opportunities for collaborative working, service development, and involvement in quality improvement initiatives. Close working relationships with community SLT colleagues support effective patient transition out of hospital.
