Description:
Arm is seeking a Staff Verification Engineer to join their Systems Media IP team in Cambridge. This team develops Image Signal Processors (ISPs), Display Processors, and Video codecs for Arm Compute Subsystems across automotive, IoT, and client market segments. The role offers the opportunity to design and enhance hardware verification environments, influence processes, and contribute to best-practices for hardware verification.
Key Responsibilities:
Verification ownership of unit-level or multi-unit hierarchy, or lead verification of overall IP (ISP, Display, Video).
Architect verification IP and full verification environments.
Review and assess proposed design changes from a verification perspective.
Analyze simulation data using machine learning and data science techniques to efficiently detect and debug issues.
Identify and implement process or methodology improvements across Media IP.
Collaborate with Arm engineering teams to deliver high-quality IP.
Mentor and support other team members.
Required Skills & Experience:
Experience in constrained-random verification and developing complex verification environments.
Proficiency in SV-UVM and creating reusable, scalable code.
Strong scripting and software engineering skills, including object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
Familiarity with testbench development tools and verification processes.
Technical or team leadership experience desirable for senior roles.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Team leadership and mentoring experience.
Knowledge of bus protocols (AMBA APB/AHB/AXI).
Formal Verification experience.
Experience with video codec, ISP, or display projects; advanced image processing algorithms.
Functional Safety product development (ISO 26262 / IEC 61508).
Continuous Integration workflow experience.
