successful appointment you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and compliant operation of site inventory and material management. This position is responsible for overseeing daily stores operations, driving performance through KPIs, and maintaining high standards of safety, housekeeping, and audit readiness. The supervisor ensures that established processes and procedures are followed, leads the fulfilment of service requests, and fosters teamwork and communication across departments.

Responsibilities
 

  • Ensuring workplace health and safety requirements are co-ordinated and adhered to in line with CF UK Stores SHE plan and procedures.
  • Leading the Billingham stores operations to ensure consistent application of CF and legislative standards, systems and processes.
  • Providing industry expertise to development of stores operations and systems.
  • Departmental leadership to support delivery of strategic Procurement & Material Control projects.
  • Local Master data management.
  • Establish and publish monthly KPI’s on all critical performance measures.
  • Ensuring audits are maintained including, delivery points, plant, security and safety of equipment, cycle counting and personnel.
  • Validating stock holding data and equipment condition. implementing ongoing processes to manage inventory and deal with obsolescence.
  • Developing and nurturing a culture of Continuous Improvement within Inventory both within the Inventory Control function and across stakeholders.
  • Ensuring the Inventory Control function is seen as a valued business partner to Manufacturing and Engineering functions.
  • Managing/Leading the Turnaround material control function/Team, Participate in early planning for Turnarounds and key maintenance projects.
  • Manage the stock levels of all items in order to keep the inventory as low as practical. This requires writing off/Disposing of redundant and excess stock, following procedures which manage the writing on of new stock items.
  • Keep all training certificates/Licenses up to date and cover any sickness/holidays/busy periods in Stores (Forklift, Reach truck, Pendant crane)
  • Manage the delivery of critical items for deadlines related to Turnarounds and Projects. The identification, tracking, expediting and temporary storage/kitting of bulk materials and critical items.
  • Driving improvement initiatives to improve stores efficiency; e.g. VMI, consignment stock etc.
