That Lot, a creative social media agency, is looking for a highly experienced and strategic Strategy Director for a 3-month fixed-term contract based in London (hybrid). This is a senior leadership role overseeing the Strategy & Activation department and leading a team of Strategists, Paid Specialists, and Analysts. The successful candidate will drive high-level social-first campaigns for global brands, working across integrated teams to deliver impactful and innovative strategies that spark meaningful engagement.
About the Role:
As a Strategy Director, you will be at the helm of strategic planning and team leadership. This role demands a mix of creative insight, data-driven thinking, and people management skills. You’ll act as a senior counsel to clients and internal teams, driving strategic vision, ensuring campaign effectiveness, and guiding the development of innovative ideas. The position also requires a strong understanding of social media platforms, paid media, and analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Strategy & Activation department across social-first campaigns
Serve as the senior strategic lead, ensuring delivery of culturally relevant, high-impact strategies
Oversee new business development, high-value pitches, and client expansion opportunities
Act as a trusted advisor to senior clients and stakeholders
Manage resource allocation, project performance, and team development
Ensure strategic alignment with measurable ROI and business goals
Provide thought leadership, drive visibility through media, speaking engagements, and internal initiatives
Work closely with the analytics and paid media leads to guide data-led decisions
Maintain financial accountability, including forecasting and tracking departmental targets
Skills Required:
Strategic thinker with the ability to simplify complex challenges into actionable plans
Deep expertise in social media marketing, content strategy, and campaign execution
Strong leadership and team management experience
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, especially for high-stakes pitches
Analytical mindset with attention to both creative and financial details
Experience handling multiple concurrent projects while meeting tight deadlines
Ability to proactively identify growth opportunities and strategic business development initiatives
