Street Lighting Assistant Manager

 

Description:

Balfour Beatty Living Places (BBLP) is seeking a skilled Street Lighting Assistant Manager to contribute to delivering exceptional infrastructure projects and services. Joining the UKCS - Balfour Beatty Living Places team, you will work with experienced professionals and have access to ongoing support and development opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Planning and Allocation of Works:

    • Review and validate incoming works for completeness.
    • Assess job requirements, including materials and plant needs.
    • Coordinate with works originators and other teams for resource optimization.
  2. Project-Specific Maintenance Activities:

    • Attend stakeholder meetings to align on project scope and requirements.
    • Conduct site visits and liaise with clients and residents.
    • Manage resources (labour, plant, materials) and project timelines.
  3. Performance Management:

    • Report productivity metrics and provide data for operational reporting.
    • Drive daily performance improvements.
    • Identify talent and ensure robust succession planning.
  4. Financial and Commercial Oversight:

    • Support cost recovery and profitability.
    • Implement IT solutions for accurate data capture.
    • Manage project changes and provide quotations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven track record in Highways Maintenance Contracts with in-depth knowledge of Street Lighting maintenance.
  • Certifications: NERS/HERS certification.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
    • Adaptability and team collaboration.
    • Commercial awareness and understanding of SLAs, KPIs, and works programming.
    • Proficiency in IT systems, including Confirm and Excel.
