Student Social Media Ambassador

Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for students to join Heriot-Watt's MRAC team as summer interns as part of our Student Social Media Ambassador programme.

Your role will include working closely with the Marketing and Communications team to create content for our digital channels which shares a unique perspective into student and campus life here at Heriot-Watt for prospective students as well as advice and guidance for current students.

As the primary focus of this role is short-form video/reel-styled content, it is preferred that you will be comfortable on camera, and that you have experience in filming and editing your own footage to a high-quality standard.

Essential/Desirable Criteria

• The ability to create and produce engaging user generated content for all our digital channels.
• Have a good background knowledge of our social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter & TikTok.
• Be comfortable on camera.
• Be able to film and edit videos to a high-quality standard.
• Strong communications skills with ability to effectively manage workloads.
• Ability to create a range of different styles of video.
