Supply Chain Lead

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead supply chain activity across multiple programmes, ensuring delivery aligns with business and customer needs
  • Identify, assess, and onboard suppliers to support project requirements
  • Drive tendering and negotiation processes to secure value, quality, and timely delivery
  • Manage supplier performance, resolving issues and maintaining service standards
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers
  • Monitor risks across the supply chain, including shortages and obsolescence
  • Oversee demand planning, purchasing, scheduling, and inventory control
  • Track and report on supplier metrics such as quality, delivery performance, and risk

 

Main Skills Needed:

  • Proven experience in supply chain, procurement, or subcontract management
  • Strong negotiation skills with experience delivering commercial outcomes
  • Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations and efficiencies
  • Ability to build and manage stakeholder and supplier relationships
  • Knowledge of contracts and subcontract frameworks
  • Experience contributing to bids or proposals
  • Degree-qualified or equivalent practical experience
  • Background in defence, engineering, or complex environments (beneficial)
