Description:

Chikara HR is recruiting for a fast-growing, well-funded startup transforming enterprise networking infrastructure for companies such as Bridgewater, Lyft, and Reddit. This hybrid role in London provides a hands-on opportunity to shape the future of networking, directly influencing product development and supporting complex enterprise environments. The Support Engineer (Networking) will troubleshoot, configure, and optimize networking solutions across a full stack including wireless, routing, switching, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across all layers of the network stack remotely.

  • Deliver high-quality technical service, building trust with customers through responsiveness and accuracy.

  • Identify product bugs and create structured feature requests to influence engineering roadmaps.

  • Build and maintain documentation to enhance team efficiency and reduce resolution times.

  • Take ownership of technical knowledge, mentoring and elevating team capabilities.

Schedule & Shift Requirements:

  • 24/7 support operation with primary shifts 9:30am–6:30pm UK time.

  • Options: Thursday–Monday (includes weekend) or Monday–Friday; alternative evening/overnight shifts optional.

  • Hybrid office expectation once the London office opens: Tuesday–Thursday during regular working hours.

Required Skills & Expertise:

  • Strong expertise in routing, switching, and wireless across layers 1–4.

  • Flexibility to work across diverse technologies and network environments.

  • Clear communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and problem-solving without perfect information.

  • Passion for networking technology and continuous learning.

  • Bonus: basic programming or automation experience (Python, Ansible, Terraform, API interaction).

Preferred Background:

  • Experience in hyper-growth startups, vendor ecosystems, large managed service providers, or similar dynamic environments.
