Support Technician

 

Description:

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who’s tech savvy and interested in developing themselves and their career in a local Cornish company.

Please note this role is primarily based in one of our head office locations (Falmouth or Redruth) with occasional remote working.

You'll help us by:

  • Answering calls and emails from Seasalt staff regarding technical issues and logging them into our IT Service Management tool - FreshService.
  • Communicating with 3rd parties to log issues, working with them to ensure tickets are followed up and responded to within an appropriate timeframe.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving Service Desk tickets within specified SLAs.
  • Participating in root cause investigations for known problems and incidents.
  • Contributing towards standard operating procedures and knowledgebase articles.
  • Assisting in supporting interfaces between various business systems.
  • Monitoring batch routines
  • Building/imaging of hardware – laptops, PCs etc
  • Repairing and/or replacing IT equipment
  • Preparing IT equipment for new starters
  • Receipting deliveries
  • Testing of returned IT equipment
  • Assisting in Service Improvement Initiatives.
  • Depending on experience, helping to guide and assist Junior Support Technicians where required.
