Position Summary

Teleflex is looking for a Surgical Account Manager to promote its range of surgical solutions within the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will have a background in medical sales or a clinical background in laparoscopic surgery and be eager to work in a fast-paced, innovative healthcare company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage promotional and sales activities in the designated territory.
  • Drive the full sales process, including local marketing, customer engagement, and clinical support.
  • Work closely with theatre-based staff, including surgeons, theatre nursing teams, and procurement professionals.
  • Provide in-theatre guidance on product usage during surgical procedures.
  • Gather clinical feedback on Teleflex's product portfolio to improve offerings.
  • Manage contracts and negotiations with procurement teams.
  • Attend internal training and marketing events, both in the UK and occasionally overseas.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Strong academic background with an ability to learn complex medical and clinical content.
  • Ability to work independently, eager to learn, and comfortable in challenging technical environments.
  • Strong teamwork, analytical, and IT literacy skills.
  • Previous experience working in a multilevel healthcare business setting is preferred.
  • Experience in surgical sales is desirable but not mandatory; relevant transferable skills will be considered.
  • Must be based within the assigned territory.

Specialized Skills & Additional Requirements

  • Experience in surgical sales or a background working in an NHS theatre environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work across diverse teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage at various organizational levels.
  • Excellent planning, decision-making, and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Adaptability to change and a results-driven mindset.
