Leeds Building Society, a purpose-driven financial institution that has been supporting home ownership since 1875, is currently hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their progressive HR team. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the organization’s people strategy and help shape a future-ready workforce.

Working in a hybrid environment, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will primarily partner with the Branch Network and Contact Centre, playing a critical role in designing and executing inclusive and effective recruitment strategies. This is more than a hiring role – it’s a strategic partnership that drives long-term talent solutions aligned with the society’s purpose of making home ownership more accessible to generations.

In this role, you will focus on implementing best-in-class attraction and selection methods, creating data-informed campaigns, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and enhancing candidate experience across all recruitment touchpoints. You will also be an active contributor to wider Talent Acquisition and People-related projects that support ongoing business improvement and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Partner with hiring managers in high-volume areas such as branches and contact centers to support recruitment needs

Design and implement inclusive and innovative sourcing strategies and candidate outreach

Lead structured and compliant selection processes while maintaining a market-leading candidate experience

Use data to shape and optimize recruitment campaigns and talent pipelines

Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners

Contribute to Talent Acquisition projects within the wider HR function

Travel to other UK sites as required to support recruitment activity

Stay up to date with employment legislation and ensure all hiring activities comply with regulations

Candidate Requirements:

Essential:

Proven experience in Talent Acquisition with a focus on internal, volume-based roles (e.g. customer service recruitment)

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Proficiency in designing and managing end-to-end recruitment campaigns

Ability to make data-driven hiring decisions and translate data into action

Well-versed in regulatory compliance and inclusive hiring practices

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities

Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset

Preferred:

Experience working within the financial services or regulated industries

Familiarity with employer branding and candidate engagement initiatives
