This is an excellent opportunity for a career-driven Tax Director seeking a leadership role within a well-established, multi-office accountancy practice. The role is based in Ipswich and offers hybrid working flexibility.
The successful candidate will lead the provision of personal tax advisory services to a diverse and loyal client portfolio, playing a key role in both client relationship management and business growth. This role offers a clear path to partnership for a motivated individual with excellent technical expertise and interpersonal skills.
Lead the delivery of personal tax advisory services, including compliance and tax planning, for a significant portfolio of clients.
Manage all commercial aspects of portfolio management, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and client expectations are consistently met.
Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, proactively addressing queries and providing tailored solutions.
Oversee and mentor junior team members, managing workflow, reviewing their work, and providing training and development.
Support the compliance team with the preparation of tax computations and other technical tasks as required.
Interpret and communicate changes in UK tax legislation to provide trusted advice to clients and colleagues.
Champion your own professional development by actively engaging in training and staying abreast of industry trends.
Support business development initiatives by preparing proposals, identifying new opportunities, and assisting with marketing activities.
Embrace modern working methods and technologies, including the use of AI tools, to enhance service delivery.
Qualified accountant (CTA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) with substantial experience in UK personal tax within practice.
Extensive autonomous portfolio management experience in an accountancy practice environment.
Outstanding communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Proactive problem-solver with strong organizational skills.
Team player who can work collaboratively with senior colleagues and provide constructive support to junior team members.
Positive, can-do attitude with eagerness to learn and grow professionally.

Competitive salary from £100,000 to £140,000 per annum.
