The following is an outline of the range of duties that can be expected of a teacher who can deliver outstanding lessons in the specific area of their expertise. It is not a comprehensive or exclusive list and duties may be varied from time to time, according to the needs of the school and the students, which do not change the general character of the job or the level of responsibility entailed.

This post is being created to deliver educational programmes as an integral part of our curriculum.

Main duties and responsibilities

• To support the school goal of raising standards by providing a high-quality curriculums for the students.
• To be responsible for the planning and implementation of education in a way that involves fully the people with whom you work and is based on your role as a member of the school.
• To deliver personalised learning opportunities within the context of Atkinson’s personalised learning programme.
• To conform to, activity commit to and promote Atkinson’s values and vision both with internal and external ‘customers’ when using any communication media including telephone, email and face to face.
• To lead and manage all aspects of the development and delivery of educational programmes appropriate to students of all ages and abilities. Group members may have complex educational needs, exhibiting barriers to learning which may include social and emotional issues, anger management and aggressive behaviour, poor levels of literacy and numeracy.
