Moseley School and Sixth Form is seeking a passionate and motivated Teacher of Science to join our successful Science department. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dedicated Science wing equipped with teaching labs and supported by an outstanding team of technicians. Science is a highly popular subject at the school, with a strong uptake for A Levels and students aspiring to pursue science-based careers.

Core Purpose:

Ensure students make positive progress against prior attainment by delivering high-quality teaching, monitoring progress, and addressing underachievement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and well-planned Science lessons.
• Meet teachers' standards and promote the values and aims of the school.
• Follow all school policies, including safeguarding and health & safety policies.
• Plan lessons to cater to individual learning needs and diverse backgrounds.
• Contribute to curriculum reviews and maintain innovative curriculum provisions.
• Assess student progress, provide feedback, and address underperformance.
• Utilize behavior management strategies in line with school policy.
• Participate in the appraisal process and professional development.

Responsibilities of Form Tutors:

• Support a form group within the House system.
• Promote high expectations for attendance, conduct, and performance.
• Monitor students' personal development and address any concerns.
• Plan and deliver tutor sessions.
