Teaching Fellow In Physics Education

The School of Education at the University of Strathclyde is the largest provider of Teacher Education in Scotland. We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Fellow in Physics Education (secondary) on an open-ended (permanent) contract to work with students on our undergraduate and postgraduate courses, with a particular focus on Physics Education.

The post involves designing and delivering teaching materials, assessing students on-campus and while on placement, engaging in scholarship projects and disseminating the results through knowledge exchange activities.

Candidates will have recent secondary classroom experience, including evidence of managing, developing and implementing recent curricular change and Scottish Government strategic initiatives at school level. Candidates will have excellent knowledge of recent developments in Scottish Education and recent experience of working with and supporting students and probationer teachers. It is essential that candidates hold full registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland, or are eligible to register prior to taking up post.
