Team Leader

Description:

Ofsted is recruiting an Inspection Support Team Leader to oversee inspection and inspector support services within its regional office (Bristol or Nottingham). This key leadership role focuses on managing the Inspection Support Supervisors, developing team capabilities, and ensuring the smooth delivery of high-quality inspection support to internal and external stakeholders.

You will coordinate the effective execution of administrative and operational processes that underpin Ofsted’s inspection activities, while driving improvements, implementing best practices, and contributing to a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Inspection Support Team, ensuring efficient delivery of inspection-related services.

• Develop training plans and oversee the professional growth of team members.

• Drive continuous improvement of administrative processes and embed effective procedures.

• Act as a key point of contact between inspectors, support staff, and regional offices.

• Plan, prioritize, and deliver key activities within agreed timelines.

• Manage the team during periods of change, ensuring service continuity and staff engagement.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.

• Proven experience in managing a team and delivering effective support functions.

• Ability to plan, prioritize, and deliver projects with sound decision-making skills.

• Experience in leading teams through periods of change.

• Annual salary of £36,354 per annum (£3,029 per month).
