Description:
The London Borough of Lambeth is seeking a Supported Employment Team Leader (SEQF) to lead its Connect to Work programme, part of a national Department for Work and Pensions initiative. This role is focused on delivering high-quality employment support for residents with learning disabilities, autism, long-term health conditions, and other complex needs.
As Team Leader, you will oversee a team of four Employment Specialists, ensuring services are delivered in line with the Supported Employment Quality Assurance Framework (SEQF) and embedded in a culture of continuous improvement. Your responsibilities will include staff supervision, performance management, caseload oversight, developing inclusive employer relationships, and collaborating with internal teams, health providers, and the voluntary sector.
The role is central to Lambeth’s ambition of enabling all residents to access quality employment support, directly contributing to the Lambeth 2030 Plan. Employment is seen as a key factor in reducing inequality, improving wellbeing, and building community resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and support a team of Employment Specialists, ensuring effective delivery under SEQF principles.
Provide reflective supervision, caseload oversight, and performance development.
Develop and maintain inclusive employer partnerships, supporting job carving and sustainable retention.
Collaborate with adult social care, health, and voluntary partners to coordinate targeted support.
Embed person-centred approaches, community-based support, and fidelity monitoring into service delivery.
Drive continuous improvement using data-driven insights and compliance measures.
Key Requirements:
Experience delivering or managing Supported Employment services under SEQF.
Strong knowledge of barriers to employment for people with disabilities, autism, and long-term health conditions, and strategies to overcome them.
Proven ability to manage a frontline team with supervision and caseload responsibilities.
Skilled in employer engagement, inclusive recruitment, and workplace retention support.
Strong data-driven approach to monitoring, compliance, and service improvement.

Salary & Contract:
Salary: £49,638 – £52,674 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting)
Contract: Full-time, Fixed-term/Secondment until March 2030
