Description:

Specialist Sports Limited, a reputable and long-established sporting goods agency, is looking to hire a Teamwear Account Manager to strengthen its sales and fulfilment operations in the dynamic sports apparel and teamwear sector. As a trusted partner of premium brands such as adidas, Specialist Sports provides integrated Sales, Marketing, Distribution, and Creative services across the UK.

In this field-based, hybrid role, the Teamwear Account Manager will play a pivotal part in managing wholesale trade accounts and club partnerships, ensuring all elements of teamwear fulfilment meet market-leading standards. You will be the driving force behind B2B and B2C growth within the teamwear segment, leading end-to-end execution—from inventory planning and order management to customer engagement and marketing support.

This role requires a proactive professional with strong commercial awareness, solid operational management skills, and a passion for sport. National travel will be expected along with regular visits to the company’s headquarters in Southampton.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of teamwear customers, ensuring timely and on-time-in-full (OTIF) order dispatch and resolving day-to-day customer queries efficiently.

  • Drive revenue growth in both B2B and B2C channels through strategic development of new and existing accounts.

  • Contribute to category management by accurately forecasting demand and controlling inventory related to teamwear and associated apparel products.

  • Manage club accounts via the Specialist Sports online shop portal, ensuring seamless product setup and timely fulfilment in line with service level agreements.

  • Coordinate with embellishment partners to ensure high-accuracy customisation and timely delivery of all club/portal orders.

  • Oversee the placement and fulfilment of bespoke orders using the adidas Locker Room platform.

  • Maintain and monitor a comprehensive customer order book ensuring all scheduled deliveries meet customer requirements.

  • Manage the teamwear customer database, ensuring contact records and key engagement milestones are up to date and accurate.

  • Create and manage sell-in tools and ensure that all Specialist Sports digital platforms reflect correct product imagery, information, and downloadable resources.

  • Support sales activities across various channels and collaborate with the fulfilment team to guarantee all customer deliveries are made OTIF.

  • Perform ad-hoc duties as delegated by the Teamwear Category Manager or Sales & Marketing Director.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Some relevant experience in account management, sportswear sales, operations, or fulfilment services.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with a solution-driven mindset.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex order processes and multiple accounts efficiently.

  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of B2B and B2C retail principles.

  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, club portals, and custom apparel fulfilment processes is advantageous.

  • Affinity with sport and a passion for delivering top-tier service to clubs, athletes, and organizations.

  • Flexibility to travel nationally and commit to field-based activities and head office collaboration as needed.
