Description:
We are looking for a Technical Application Specialist to work alongside our Business Development Managers and dealer network. You will be the person they turn to when a project needs a system design, a demonstration set-up, a configuration check, or a training session delivered.
Importantly, the role does not carry an individual sales target. Your work supports the sales performance of both areas, and you will spend much of your week out with dealers, integrators and their customers rather than sitting behind a desk.
The Job:
- Designing systems for dealer and end-user projects, including equipment lists, signal flow drawings and Dante configurations
- Configuring DSP and ProVisionaire files and supporting integration with Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
- Answering dealer and integrator questions around product selection, system configuration and applications
- Supporting Business Development Managers on live opportunities, including the technical content of quotations and dealer tender responses
- Setting up and running demonstrations, listening sessions and product evaluations
- Delivering product and system training to dealers, resellers, integrators and colleagues
- Supporting commissioning, system optimisation and fault-finding on site at the stages where it counts
- Working at trade shows, dealer open days and roadshows
- Keeping activity and follow-ups current in Salesforce
What we are looking for:
- Hands-on experience in live sound or AV, gained through installation, commissioning, live sound, technical sales or pre-sales support
- Practical knowledge of Dante and digital signal flow, with configuration experience
- The ability to specify and configure systems built around mixing consoles, loudspeakers, amplification, DSP and conferencing hardware
- Enough IT and networking knowledge – including switching, VLANs and PoE – to confidently work with a customer’s IT department
- Confidence in front of customers, whether running a demonstration, supporting a project or delivering training to a room full of dealers
- A proactive approach. Someone comfortable taking ownership, asking questions, sharing ideas, and acting when they see an opportunity to improve a project or support a customer
- A genuine interest in learning and taking on new challenges. You do not need to know everything on day one, but you should be curious and motivated to develop your knowledge across both live sound and business solutions
- Someone who takes pride in the quality of their work, communicates openly and can be relied upon to follow through on commitments to customers, dealers and colleagues
- Most importantly, someone with a genuine passion for audio and technology who enjoys working with others to turn good ideas into great customer experiences
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK.
- Dante Audinate Level 2 Minimum.
